Air Yeezy - Black / Red / Grey
Now I'm not one for hype but the Air Yeezy bug bit me long time ago. Fun fact about me: I am absolutely against Kanye West for reasons that would require another entry to write out. Mainly I think he's selling out his fans and is trying TOO hard to be a rap anomaly (thank Jesus for spell check).
Well, in making my rounds I discovered these Air Yeezys on NiceKicks. I've been in love with the Yeezys since I saw the black and pink pair. Even tho I don't like Kanye, I think these sneakers were designed good and deserve the hype they get. The color choices are also on point. Yet another quality Nike creation. Check the pics below and comment on what you think about them. Click "Read More" for more pics.

Air Yeezy: Beyond the Hype
If you know something about anything, you know that the Nike x Kanye West collaboration "Air Yeezy" sneakers released in one colorway this past weekend at a premium price of $215 dollars. People lined up for these. People resold these for more money. People went crazy about these.
Check out this vid by Davy Greenberg about what transcended this weekend.
Also, click "Read More" to see my own commentary on what I think about these kicks.

The Air Yeezy is one of the most expensive Nike sneakers as far as retail goes. At a price of $215, these beat out Foamposites as well as Air Jordan XVII's which came with a small suitcase and the Spiz'Ikes (If i can remember correctly).
Of course I'm going to go ahead and say, these were sold on the name alone. Kanye West, being the presence he is in the music industry (as gay as he may seem), holds name recognition. These were super-hyped. Although I like them aesthetically, I hate the fact that they're selling the name of an artist I don't even like. But hey... Who am I do discredit their marketing...

Jordan Fusion IV mania
You guys know how strong against fusions I am. I wouldn't say I had a change of heart but... I actually like these. Jordan Fusion IV. Nothing more to say.

More Air Jordan Nike Fusions
Wow, it's been a week. College rules my life. Anyway, back on that sneaker tip...
Nike just doesn't stop. As much as us sneaker purists are against the fusions, people in the hood go "Ohhhh snap! New Jays!" and buy these fusions. The fusions seem like a good idea but execution wise, they just don't float my boat. Here we've got fusion IXs (From Sneakerfiles). Most poeple don't even know what IXs are.

Purple Flightposite 1
Remember when purple wasn't cool? They flamed the purple telletubby for being a flamer... But now it's cool. So check out these purple Flightposite 1s, which will be releasing on October 11th. They feature a purple gradient upper and the usual zipper top with black lining and black midsole. And there's some grey in there. October 11th.From Sneakerfiles

DQM makes big moves
DQM, another boutique in my strong line-up of premier New York boutiques is making some big moves. In addition to their Fall / Winter line coming out, they have teamed up with Nike yet again to produce these Dunk His. The dunks are presented in three colorways with what seems to be a perforated suede upper. If I was in New York I'd go check it out but... college happens. The colors available are Cave Purple, Industrial Blue, and Ice Green. Being in Houston I'm kind of out of the loop at the moment so as far as I know, there is no release date yet but it might be floating somewhere on the internet. Nike "Scribble" Dunk
Now, this is my blog. Although there have been some people with "clout" reading it, I am still entitled to my own opinion right? Sorry Beaverton but I don't think these will be that popular amongst consumers. These dunks, releasing right in time for kids to go back to school, feature one of the wildest colorways and patterns I've ever seen. Featuring a crayon scribble pattern on the upper and yellow midsole, check, and laces, these sneakers are somewhat wild. I just don't see people wearing it. Check them out. From Sneakerfiles

DIamond Supply Co. Sneakers
Diamond Supply Co., based out of LA, is quite the large brand now. Usually most brands expand out into cut n sew from t-shirts but Diamond has made strides in other areas such as accessories and now, sneakers. Diamond Supply Co. will be releasing sneakers into the mainstream in "January/February 2009". The sneakers have a modified "vans-esque" look with the usual rubber sole and one piece upper. The lace hole lining is leather and the upper features what seems to be canvas (I could be wrong). Also on the upper is the kicker... A diamond. A Diamond is printed on the upper! That's what set's the sneakers off from anything else out there. The colorway, although simple, is still clean as hell: Black/White/Tiffany. Expect more updates on these. From Hypebeast Forums via. NikeiD Air Force 1
Back in the days before NikeiD moved to Niketown on 57th and 5th and it was at 255 Elizabeth, you needed an invite to even get in. They held a monthly raffle and gave out two I think. You could bring one other person with you and they got an invite and so did you when you visited (so you could come back). If you were lucky enough to even get an invite, you still couldn't customize any shoe. Dunks and Air Maxes were allowed as well as some other ugly shoes but Air Force 1s were limited to celebrities and VIP only.
I guess that's history because today, you can customize Air Forces on Nike Sportswear. There's a plethora of materials to use, even patent leather. However, they have limited quantities to a certain number per day. So get them early. And remember, Beaverton is in Oregon and there's a time difference. Hint Hint.

Air Jordan Olympian released
Everybody's trying to profit off the Olympics somehow. What happened to the days when people used to just watch some track and field or Olympic ping pong? I don't remember those days either because as far back as I can remember there are Olympic themed sneakers. In this day and age we see the the Air Jordan Olympian. Eastbay has sent out an email saying they have dropped the Air Jordan Olympian. The sneakers feature an Olympic theme with remnants of kicks such as the AJ10 and AJ11. The sneakers are colored in an American colorway for Olympic pride (United We Rise). There is also a cheaper colorway of all black which looks good for balling in. $134.99 at Eastbay. From Eastbay

Infrared Air Max 90
I remember when I first got into non-Jordans, these were the first kicks I bought. The Infrared Air Max 90's. It's spelled Infra-red, not infa-red by the way. I beat them into the ground, so thank God they're being retroed. The mudguard on the retros isn't the same, its made out of darker/deeper material. These will be released tomorrow at your usual Tier-0 retailers. In New York I guess we can expect these at Alife, DQM, and Recon? Who knows. Some even speculate these will pop up at Quickstrike retailers and even Urban Accounts.
The differences will be that the inner liner is now premium leather, The mudguard is a darker ostrich skin, The upper is nubuck instead of suede, among other changes.

Asics Gel Lyte III Mita
I went to DQM to get the old Mita release with Asics. They didn't have my size, only a half size up and a half size down. Neither one fit me. SMH. Oh well DQM is THAT store to go to. Enough of that.
Mita has teamed up with Asics again to present these metallic colored Gel Lyte IIIs. Most people aren't up on these an won't buy them. Suckass. Now you can be up on it and stop sucking Nike and Adidas and Reebok. The midsole includes that same Mita "cookies n cream" pattern and these have polka dot accents on their uppers. From HighSnobiety

SoleCollector: AF1 Archive
The Sole Collector archive project started with Air Jordans. It was only fitting that way. A lot of sneaker aficionados start with Jordans in their addiction. Sole Collector has recently launched their Air Force 1 archive which contains over 440 Air Force 1s. Sole Collector's AJordanXI has added details of every shoe's box information, release year and other important facts. The archive consists of sneakers from 1982 to 2008

Hybrid Mania!
Nike just rolls out new stuff everyday it seems. Not only have they asserted their spot as the leader of the Olympics, but have been crushing the competition in the stores and Boutiques. Nike revisits the pigeon colorway with these Air Forces. Once again Nike is innovating with the fusion idea, adding AM97 accents to the Air Forces, adapting the tongue and hook to the Forces.

Pigeon x New Balance?
The Pigeon dunk has already caused world chaos. Releasing in limited quantities, causing lines, etc... Maybe not world chaos but it definitely set the sneaker world on fire, becoming one of the few shoes featured on the news because it sold on ebay for more than 1000 dollars. People gawk at sneaker culture for stuff like that.
